Popular folk singer Fawad Andarabi was dragged out of his home and killed by the Taliban in Kishnabad village of Andarab on Saturday (August 28).
“Fawad Andarabi a local singer was shot dead by Taliban in Kishaan village in Andarab district in Baghlan province.” Multiple residents from Anadarab tells me”, journalist Bilal Sarwary posted on Twitter.
Another journalist Sami Mahdi posted on Twitter “Fawad Andarabi, a local artist, was dragged out of his home yesterday and killed by the Taliban in Kishnabad village of Andarab. He was a famous folk singer in the valley. His son has confirmed the incident.”
After the Taliban took over Afghanistan on August 15, music and singing was banned in the country.
Earlier, as reported by the Organiser, the Taliban terrorists had shot dead Afghanistan’s famous poet and historian Abdullah Latifi on Wednesday (August 4). Latifi was killed in his home in Uruzgan’s province’s Chora district.
The Governor of the Uruzgan province Mohammad Omar Shirzad had confirmed the news to TOLO news agency.
On July 22, Afghanistan’s famous comedian Nazar Mohammad, better known as Khasha Zwan, was kidnapped from his home in Kandahar province and killed by the Taliban. His body was found hanging on a tree.
The video of Nazar Mohammad’s kidnapping had gone viral.
