Lavanya,a 17years old girl committed suicide because of conversion threat from a christian school,Thanjavur district.
In second week of Febraury ABVP protested for seeking “Justice For Lavanya” all over the country. Tamilnadu government arrested 35 cadres who participated in protest held at Chennai. The Government of Tamil Nadu has allegedly dismissed Subbaiah, a renowned cancer doctor from Tamil Nadu who came to visit them. These show that the Tamil Nadu government is afraid of these struggles. On the other hand Tamil Nadu legislator Iniko Iruthayaraj meets the main culprit,the hostel warden Sagaya Mary who is behind Lavanya’s death. But neither the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister nor the legislators spoke a word for Lavanya.
The two DMK ministers who spoke on Lavanya’s death gave false information without conducting any inquiry. The Tamil Nadu government says this is not a conversion death. Also Tamilnadu government making hindrances to CBI enquiry to block the investigation.
The Department of Child Welfare also refuses to cooperate with the investigation. This clearly shows the Anti Hindu approach of ruling DMK government in Tamilnadu.
