Let us see some comparison between Thirukkural and Ramayana

Rain

One separate chapter dedicated to rain in Thrukkural.
Let’s see one or two Kuratpa.
“Vin indru poyppin virineer ulagathu
Ulnindru udatru pasi”
Meaning:If rain fails the whole world will get affected by hunger.
“Nedunkadalum than neermai kunrum thdindhezhili
Than nalga thagi vidin”
Meaning:If rain fails even the ocean water will get diminished.

In Ramayana

In Ramayana also one separate chapter deicated for describing rain season.
Let’s see one or two slokas
“Nava masa dhritham Garbam Baskarasya Gabasthibigi peethva rasam Samudhranam Dhyow prasoothe
rasayanam”

Meaning:

The sky is like wife just as sea is husband. As wife gets essence from husband delivers child,the sky
getting waters from sea and delivers rain after nine months
“Shad padha thandhree Madhura pidhanam plavanga modheerita kanta talam avishkritha Mega
mridhanga jalaigi vaneshu snakeetham iva pravruddha”

Meaning:

The six legged living beings dancing,The cloud is playing like clouds, Thus whole forest plays musical
orchestra in the rainy season.
