West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has come under fire from Ambedkarians on the internet for saying that she does not think so badly of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Mamata Banerjee said this while addressing a press conference in Nabanna on August 31, 2022.
In a small part of the press conference, which went viral as a video clip, Mamata Banerjee said, “RSS is not that bad. I don’t believe it’s that bad. Even now there are good people in RSS who do not support BJP. One day they will break their silence.” He said that.
Mamata Banerjee, a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, became a target of Ambedkarites for her outspokenness with the RSS.
