Theni: The Tamil Nadu government is blocking the central government’s schemes from reaching the poor people. Union Rural Development Minister Faggansingh Kulaste said in a meeting of BJP district administrators in Theni that central government schemes should be brought door to door to avoid this.
He said: Livelihood will improve due to increase in productivity through women’s self-help groups in rural areas. So we need to create marketing opportunities. Incentives given to farmers are few in number. It should be increased. Prime Minister’s Housing for All scheme has few beneficiaries. It should also be increased.
Party officials should go door to door to create awareness about the schemes of the central government and convert the poor into beneficiaries. There are not many BJP, MPs, MLAs in Tamil Nadu. That is why the state government is blocking the central government schemes from reaching the poor people. The next time I come here, the plans should be completely reached people’ said.
