An explosion from a car cylinder, occurred on 23rd last month, is not an accident. If terrorist can use LPG cylinders as homemade bombs in Coimbatore, then this is a big threat to the tranquility of the cotton city. Why does the DMK government still trying to pass it off as LPG cylinder blast and not a terrorist attack. Then why DGP and top officials rush to the spot within four hours of the blast and decided to hand over it over to the NIA, a specialized anti-terror agency, to carry out the investigation? The local police would probe if it was a car cylinder blast as has been claimed by the DMK ,its allies and its paid media?. There are a lot of questions that need credible and convincing answers.

On October 23, explosives were seized from the residence of the lone wolf, Jameesha Mubin, who was killed after a gas cylinder exploded in a car he travelled in, is suspected to be a key player in a conspiracy and part of a IS terror module. Six men, his associates, were arrested. The case, initially probed by the Tamil Nadu police, was handed over to the National Investigation Agency. The car used for the attack was owned by son of 1998 Coimbatore blast convict. The arrested were identified by the police as Muhammad Talka, Muhammed Azharuddin, Muhammed Riyaz, Firoze Ismail and Muhammed Nawaz Ismail, all in their 20s. Nearly 100kg of explosive material were found in the house of convict but what prevents the DMK government from calling this a terrorist act is a billion dollar question. Jameesha Mubin who was killed in the explosion, had the ISIS message in his what’s app status, the ISIS wording where found in his residence.

The explosion may have occurred by a fire from the exhaust pipe, a burning radiator or other electrical issues, but the whole car has exploded with nails, iron balls and glass balls ( koli) . The DMK’s IT wing detectives are keen in spreading the news as an accident and it’s a conspiracy by the governor with the aid of the central government. Had the explosion occurred in the daytime, at least 1000 people might have been killed. The DMK government is risking the lives of people for the sake of a minority vote bank.

The Stalin government had failed to maintain the law-and-order situation in the state and to prevent the terrorist attack even after the warning from central intelligence which was revealed by BJP Tamil Nadu Chief K Annamalai . They have stated the terrorist attack as a stringent Unlawful Activities Act considering all aspects rather than in the terror angle. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin had praised the Coimbatore Police team for handling car explosives case in the city and presented them certificates of appreciation. This act of appreciation by the Chief Minister M K Stalin clearly indicates his interests in hiding the truth while the NIA has only started the investigation. Why does M K Stalin, in an unprecedented way even before the probe is concluded, call them to Chennai for a facilitation? This clearly shows the Chief Minister M K Stalin’s interests in safeguarding the minority vote bank alone.
We hope that the Chief Minister M K Stalin should indulge in blame gaming acts, as he does in regular criminal cases involving his party cadres. He should realize the nature of threat and act wisely, follow the central government advice in this attack and protect the lives of people of Tamil Nadu.
