Sri yogi Ramsurath kumar Swami was incarnated as the second son of Ramdut Guar – Kusumdevi on December 1, 1918 at Nardhara village near Varanasi. His original name was Ramsuratkunwar.
Interest in meeting Yogis and Saints from childhood. He used to stroll along the banks of the Ganges and associate with monks.
“My Father is One, there is nothing else… there is no other” This is the grace of Thiruvannamalai Yogi Ramsurath kumar.
Got Darshan of Ramana at Tiruvannamalai. Aravinda’s darshan in Pondicherry was also enlightening.
It was during a holiday trip that Mahan visited Pappa Ramdas at a place called ‘Kanjankadu’ near Mangalore. He also stayed in his ashram. There he got Rama Nama Upadesha by Pappa Ramdas.
After some time he came back to Tiruvannamalai. There he stayed under a banyan tree. Ramsurath kunwar became “Yogi Ramsurath kumar” in Tiruvannamalai.
At Sri yogi Ramsurath kumar Swamy’s Ashram in Tiruvannamalai, his Jayanti will be celebrated in a grand manner. Similarly, in many towns of Tamil Nadu, Yogi’s Jayanti is celebrated by his devotees.
