Thondi: Sengol 75, a resident of Mukhilthagam village near Thondi, died yesterday morning. It was decided to bury his body in the crematorium there. One party objected to this decision. There is Sebastian Church in Mukhilthagam village. They protested that the scepter was not properly paid during the festivals there, and therefore his body should not be buried in the village communal crematorium. Thiruvadanai Deputy Tahsildar Ramamurthy, Inspector Jayapandian, Thondi Revenue Inspector Kumar, V.A.O. Rajeshkannan were involved in reconciliation talks. It was insisted by the authorities that tax should be paid during the church festival in the coming days. The Sengol family said they would pay taxes. After that, the body was cremated.
