There was a headline in newspaper Loksatta stating “In Gujarat, ABG Shipyard is found guilty in a banking scam of Rs.22842 crores which is greater in magnitude than the Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi scam.”

The word Gujarat has been purposely put in the headline. But following 5 points are not mentioned in the news which i would like to bring to your notice….

1) The company involved in the scam is ABG Shipyard Ltd. (ABGSL). Former PM Manmohan Singh had given this company a contract of Indian Navy in 2011 which was later cancelled by current PM Narendra Modi.

2) ABGSL’s chairman Agrawal has close relations with Ahmad Patel, we can call this as homely relations. And we all know Ahmad Patel has close relations with whom.

3) This company has its ship building operations based in Gujarat but all the malpractices were carried out from Mumbai and Pune. Its corporate office is at 5th Floor, Bhupati Chambers, 13th Mathew Road, Opera House, Mumbai – 400004.
There was a revelation yesterday that it has contacts with some bigshots in Mumbai.

4) For 5 straight years from 2008 – 2012 this company was awarded by Manmohan Singh government. And it was during these 5 years that all the malpractices were carried on. The company reaped the benefits of this post 2012.

5) The company started reaping these benefits of Rs.22842 crores from 2012 when Chidambaram took over the Finance Ministry from Pranab Mukherjee.

MORAL OF THE STORY :
A “chaiwala” PM is recovering the money which middle class Indians had kept in the banks which an “economist PM from London School of Economics, Oxford” distributed as sweets to the close associates of the so called “Rajmata”.
