On September 26, 2018, a three-Judge Bench of the Supreme Court comprising then Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud had allowed the live streaming of cases of Constitutional importance that take place in the Court of the Chief Justice of India.

On May 31, 2021, Bar & Bench had reported that the apex court was working towards ensuring that court proceedings go live before the retirement of CJI Ramana.
