ஸ்வாமி விவேகானந்தர் உலகில் எத்துனை மனிதர்கள் உள்ளனரோ! அத்துனை மதங்கள் இருக்கின்றன.

அதாவது இறைநம்பிக்கை என்கிற விஷயத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதருக்கும் வெவ்வேறு விதமான நம்பிக்கைகள், சிந்தனை முறைகள், அணுகுமுறைகள் உள்ளன. அவை மனிதருக்கு மனிதர்கள் மாறுபடுகின்றன. ஆனால் நமது சனாதன தர்மம் அவற்றிக்குள் ஒத்திசைவை கண்டு ஒன்றுபடுத்துகிறது.

ஆதிசங்கரர் காலத்திற்கு முன்பு நமது நாட்டில் பல்வேறுவிதமான சடங்குகளை கடைபிடிக்கும் வழிபாட்டு முறைகள் இருந்தன.அவற்றில் பல என்ன தான் இறைநம்பிக்கையின் அடிப்படையில் இருந்தாலும் மனிதகுல நாகரீக ,பண்பாட்டு நடைமுறைக்கு முரணாக இருந்தது.

இவற்றையெல்லாம் கண்ணுற்ற ஸ்ரீஆதிசங்கரர் முரணான சடங்குகள் வழிபாட்டு முறைகளை மாற்றி, ஆறு விதமான வைதீக சம்பிரதாயங்களை வகுத்துக் கொடுத்தார். ஒவ்வொரு சம்பிரதாயத்திற்குமான வழிபடு தெய்வம், வழிபடுமுறைகள், அதற்கான ஆகமங்களை உருவாக்கிக் கொடுத்தார். தவறான சடங்குமுறைகளால் பல ஆலயங்களில் உள்ள தெய்வங்கள் மிக ஆக்ரோஷமாக இருந்தன. அங்கெல்லாம் அவர் விஜயம் செய்து அந்த தெய்வங்களை சாந்தப்படுத்தி அன்புமயமாக்கினார். உதாரணத்திற்கு காஞ்சி காமாட்சியும், திருவானக்கோவில் அகிலாண்டேஸ்வரியும்.

அவர் வகுத்துக் கொடுத்து ஆறு சம்பிராதயங்களாவன.

காணபத்யம் என்பது விநாயகரை முழுமுதற்கடவுளாக கொண்டு வழிபடுவது.

எப்படி என்று சிந்திப்போம். தற்போது நாம் எந்த விதாமான வைதீக சடங்குகள், பூஜைகள், ஹோமங்கள், யாகங்கள் என்று எதைத் துவங்கினாலும் முதலில் விநாயகப்பெருமானின் அனுக்ஞை பெறுவதற்காக கணபதி பூஜையை முதலில் செய்கிறோம். ஏதேனும் எழுதத் துலங்கும்போது கூட பிள்ளையார்சுழி போட்டுத்தான் துவங்குகிறோம். இப்படி காணபத்யம் எங்கும் உள்ளது.

அடுத்து விஷ்ணு சகஸ்ரநாம ஸ்தோத்திரத்தில் ஓர் இடத்தில் பார்வதிதேவி பரமசிவனிடத்தில் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்கிறார். அதாவது விஷ்ணுவின் ஆயிரம் நாமங்களையும் ஒரு சாதாரண மனிதனால் சொல்லி வழிபட முடியுமா. அதற்கு மாற்றாக என்னதான் செய்வது என்று கேட்டும்போது சிவபெருமான் சொல்கிறார் முழுமையாக விஷ்ணு சகஸ்ரநாமம் சொல்ல முடியாதவர்கள் கீழ்காணும் ஒரு ஸ்லோகத்தை சொன்னால் போதும் என்று கூறுகிறார். அந்த ஸ்லோகம்.

“ஸ்ரீராமராம ராமேதி ரமே ராமே மனோரமே |
ஸஹஸ்ரநாம தத்துல்யம் ராமநாமவரானே ||”

அதாவது ராமநாம மந்த்ர ஜபமே போதும் என்று ராமநாமத்தின் மகிமையை சிவபெருமான் எடுத்துரைக்கிறார்.

ஆனால் ஸ்ரீராமன் இலங்கையில் இராவணனை வதம் செய்த பிறகு இராமேஸ்வரம் வந்து சிவலிங்க பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து சிவ பூஜை செய்கிறார்.

அதற்கு முன் இராவணனை அழிக்க வேண்டுமென்றால் ஆதித்ய ஹ்ருதயம் பாராயணம் அவசியம் என்று, அகத்தியரால் ஸ்ரீராமருக்கு ஆதித்ய ஹ்ருதய மந்த்ரம் உபதேசம் செய்யப்பட்டு, ஸ்ரீராமரும் சூரியபகவானை போற்றித் துதிக்கிறார்.

இவ்வாறாக சொல்லும் வரிசையில் சேனாதிபதிகளில் தான் சுப்ரமணியராக இருக்கிறேன் என்று உபதேசிக்கிறார்.

ஆனால் சுப்ரமண்யர் சூரசம்ஹாரம் செய்யச் செல்லும்போது பராசக்தியினடத்து இருந்து வேல்வாங்கிச் சென்று வினைமுடித்து வருகிறார்.

இறைவனாகிய ப்ருஹஸ்பதி நிலைக்கட்டும்.
இந்திரனும் அக்னியும் நிலைக்கட்டும்.
இவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஒருங்கிணைந்து ராஷ்ட்ரத்தை நிலைத்துத் தாங்கிப் பிடிக்கட்டும்.

இப்படியாக அனைத்து தேவர்களையும் போற்றி வணங்குவதுதான் சனாதன ஹிந்து தர்மத்தின் தனித்தன்மை.
